I was doing to search for Joe on the internet to see how he was doing and am devastated to hear of his passing. I dated Joe about 13 years ago and I have never met anyone like him since. No one has ever made me laugh like him, he had a wicked sense of humor. We would have phone call marathons, sometimes lasting 8 hours, we always had so much to talk about. Joe: I will always hold a very special place in my heart for you - you will always be "my Murray." I miss you, and still love you, and will play my Frank Zappa CD in your honor.

My cousin Joey......I will never forget your unique sense of humor. You always had me shaking my head with a smile on my face whenever I left you. Your time with us was way too short. You will be missed terribly.

My cousin was an extremely special man. In resent years I had the pleasure to get to know my cousin. He was the embodiment of the true Mineo sense of humor. Mere words cannot express the sadness in my heart over the passing of someone as kind and sweet as Joey. His gentle ways, intellect, and off-beat sense of humor were charming and the love he felt for his mother endearing. I hope his mom is there waiting for him with open arms.
My deepest sympathies to the Mineo family, and especially to Johnnie.

I remember joe living downstairs at his moms house. He was doing stump removal at the time. I loved the car he had. It doesn't seem that long ago. I am sorry for your lost Mike and family.

I'm still having trouble accepting the fact that Joey is truely gone. It hurts to think that Joeys off beat humor his intellectual coments that some how get you thinking just outside the box and his personality made up with kindness caring and charm are now just memories. Memories that I'm lucky to say I have quite a few. In looking back on some these last few days even though he is not with us he still has the ability to bring a smile to my face. I don't think he knows how much he will be missed. I for one will miss greatly. But I also remeber that he always seemed to be longing for something else. Something that he couldn't find here. Knowing Aunt Emmy was waiting open arms for Joey helps to know that one major void in his life has been filled. I'd like to think with the help of all the other loved ones who have past before him, Joey will finally find the happiness he was unable to find here. Joey you were one of a kind and I feel lucky to have gotten to know you and honored to call you my friend. Love Debbie
