Roland Cadieux

CADIEUX - Roland, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Highland Beach, Florida, passed away surrounded by his family, on October 20th. He was 81 years of age. He is survived by his devoted wife Kam Ying, his loving children, Constance, Jane Loughran, Diane Caputi and Stephen. He was a wonderful father-in-law to Kevin Loughran and Geraldine Cadieux. He was a warm and tender step- father to Kam's five children, Florence Rejaee, her husband Masoud, Stella Chou, her husband Edgar, Sandra Pavlik, her husband Jeffrey, Amy Dong and Andrew Dong. The years have provided him with eight adoring grandchildren, Michael and James Buggenhagen, Jessie and Jamie Loughran, Nikki and Richard Caputi, Keri Ann Hespler and Jennifer Connolly and a cherished great-granddaughter, Analiese Buggenhagen. He leaves behind his much loved sister Irene Kahoud and her three sons George, Richard and Raymond. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts he settled on Long Island in 1949 with his now deceased wife Yvette. He was the founder and CEO of Roland's Electric, Inc., a long time boater and member of the Freeport Yacht Club. He was a special friend to the so many people whose lives he touched. Visitation will be at the Massapequa Funeral Home South Chapel at 4980 Merrick Road, Massapequa Park on Thursday 7-9:30pm, Friday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 25th at 9am at St. Rose of Lima Church, Massapequa, NY with the burial immediately following at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.
