Dear Mrs. Cucciniello,
I don't know if you remember me but I am one of your former first-grade students. It is very odd that I was just thinking of you over the past weekend and was wondering how you and your family were when I looked at the Newsday obituary today to find your husband passed away. I am so sorry for your loss. You have been married many years and I hope they were wonderful ones. May good memories of the years together fill your heart during this very difficult time.
You will be remembered in my prayers (I still have the rosary beads you gave me for my first communion in 1958 - they hold a special place in my heart).
With my sincere sympathy,
