Rita Quinlan Obituary

QUINLAN - Rita A., 84, of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008. Born in New York City. Rita lived in the Bronx before moving to Plainview, NY in 1953, she later moved to West Palm Beach where she resided for 7 years. In 1991 she and Frank set up their home in Spring Hill. Rita was employed as a receptionist for Karey Kasco. She loved golf, reading, bowling, bocce and her Irish heritage. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church. She was predeceased by her son Robert Girola and is survived by her husband Frank; daughter, Barbara Gai and her husband Dennis; stepdaughter, Kathleen Zetterberg; step-sons, Robert and Richard; nine grandchildren, Lauren Gai, Matthew and Jennifer Gai, Dawn and Michael Zipay, Craig and Deborah Winters, Sean and Nancy Quinlan, Caitlyn Quinlan, Lilly and Molly Zetterberg, Brian, Thomas and Matthew Quinlan; and great-grandchild Collin Zipay. Family and friends may visit the Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Home, 655 old Country Road, Plainview, NY on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday 9:30am at St.Pius X RC Church, 270 Washington Ave. Plainview. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery Hawthorne NY.
