TRANSOM - George E. Jr., of Pompano Beach, FL (formerly of Baldwin and Rockville Centre, LI) on October 27, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Devoted father of George E. III (Theresa), Robert M. (Betsy), Jill (Jerry) Zizzo and David G. (Aisling). Loving grandfather of Kristen, Greg, Peter, Mary, Laura, Michael, Joseph, Thomas, Christopher, Craig, Grace and Sadie. Dear brother of Carol McDonald. Service Towers Funeral Home Inc., Long Beach and Foxhurst Rds Oceanside Monday 10am. Visitation Saturday and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.

George was not only a (gentle)man but was a mentor and a good friend to me when I first had the priveledge of meeting him in the early 70's, May he never be forgotten, for all the good he has done and for all the lives that he made better.
