I do not know if you will receive this message, but I am writing it in the hope you, her family will receive it.

We are about to celebrate the 50th aniversary of our graduation from high school. At that time we will honor the memory of Diana, whom we all loved very much. She will be with us in spirit, as we will be thinking of her at that time.

Diana and I have been friends for fifty seven years. Our friendships began in the forth grade of elementary school. It carried on for the remaining years of our schooling.
Then Diana left Colombia to come to United States, we were able to continue to follow each other by mail.
Then I came to the United States, we were able to visit each other and watch our families grow.
Truly, the last few years were difficult watching a good friend suffer with her illness.Since Diana's passing I can only believe our friendship will continue until we meet again.
Diana Patricia, Thank You for been so sincere and let me know , how sick Diana was and give me the opportunity to be at her side in the last week of her life, we were able to reminiscen big episodes of our frienship . Thank you, again

We will be missing Diana so much. I met her through my sister Carmen Paez de Borda and cousin Isabel Acosta de Polo, also as we were all girls in the Colegio Americano, and growing up in Barranquilla, Colombia. We got reacquainted when I came
to New YorK, NY, in November 1969, through our good friends Shirley Angulo de Voutvoutsis and Tulita Digeratu. We saw each other sporadically, as I has been an expat in the Middle East since 1980, and currently, in Cairo, Egypt. I thank God the opportunity of having seen her last winter, while she was visiting with Sandra and Hans in Maryland, and your brother Louis and Rosemarie and Dianita and Larry and all the kids, the day after last Thanksgiving Day, in 2007. We shall miss her laughter and good will and above all, her friendship, which endured through the years and distant places. May God give you all the strength of spirit for the loss of such a lovely sister, mother, abuelita, and great friend. Warmest regards,

We are lifting up your family in prayer during this difficult time. We never had an opportunity to meet your mother, but can tell from her children and friends that she was one that made a significant impact on others and will leave a legacy of loving, caring children and grandchildren. Know that we continue to pray for you all.

Diana has been a great loss for all who knew her; great wife, mother, grandmother, and in my experience, an unconditional and faithful friend, full of optimism, strength, always redy to lend a hand.
We shared happy moments as well as sad moments since we were babies. It was trully a blessing to have had a friend/sister like her and my saddest moment was saying good bye to her for ever. You will always be in my heart. May God bless you.

The mom we remember as "Mrs. Angulo" raised an awesome family - every child grew to be an accomplished, responsible and caring adult with a sharp mind and a kind heart. This is an amazing feat for anyone, let alone for one who endured such profound losses in her lifetime. May her legacy of strength in hard times and acceptance of her children's dreams give meaning to her children and their children through the years to come, and may she rest in peace with our Lord for eternity.

My memories of Diana go back to the time we both were in high school in "Colegio Americano", where we shared so many happy moments and made a friendship that has lasted for many years. Even though we did not see each other much over the years, the times we shared together then or when we were able to visit, will stay with me for many more years to come. I can still picture her laughter. She was always happy and positive, ready to share with all of us wonderful stories.

May her memory and all the happy ocasions that you shared with her, help you overcome the sadness of loosing her. I am sure all of us, the class of 59, will always remember her.

In Barranquilla, Colombia from 1956-1960, at CAPS we were school friends. We were not in the same class, but regardless we were a riot at school. I remember Diana, and Letty and Elena of course.
Her body gave up, but her soul is here we all of you, her family and her friends and relatives. I send you light in this very difficult moment. I pray the Lord to give you all the strength and the faith you need and the understanding that all is well.

Luis, Diana, Jorge and Family-

My brother David called me tonight to tell me of your loss. You and your family will be in my family’s thoughts and prayers.

I have very fond memories of the old days and of your Mother. I was glad to hear she is at rest with your Father at St. Mary's. I will be sure to visit them both as I always do the rare times I am back in Flushing and visiting my family’s grave site.

I had just left Luis a crazy voicemail on his work line as I was at the Who concert a few weeks ago and was thinking about everyone.

I hope to get contact info from David this weekend to try and reach out to you with a private note.

Aside from this sad news and I do hope all is well with you and your families.

Love-

Michael, Mary Ellen, Nora, Bridget and Jack
