George Parzen Obituary

PARZEN - George, on September 20, 2007 of Shoreham, LI. George had a distinguished life which impacted many people in diverse walks of life. He was born on March 11, 1924 in Manhattan. George was a theoretical physicist (degrees from City College of New York (1945) and Stanford (1949)) employed doing research in physics by Brookhaven National Laboratories. By searching Google one can learn about George's many technical publications and significant contributions to the design of accelerators. George had many good friends in the Long Island community with whom he had an active life. He is survived by his younger brother Emanuel (Professor of Statistics, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas), and by 9 children of his brothers and sisters. There will be a Memorial Gathering for George at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, LI, on Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 2 to 4 PM.

i loved my pop pop he was the best pop pop and also godfather to me sara we did things together everyweekend went to parks and plays and dinner.he got his wings and he is with my grandma to he loved her so much and so do i will miss my pop pop so so much i love you pop pop your little godchild sara senlioglu

George was loved and respected by our family.He loved my mother as she loved him.They were happy in life and now they are happy in death together.
We will miss him dearly.He was a good man to my husband & myself,my daughter, my son, my granddaughter,and my grandson.His life touched us all.He brought a lot of happinest to out lives.We will miss him very much.We send Our Love and Sympathy to His Brother Emanual and Family.
