It was with great shock and sadness that I heard about Fr. Manny’s passing on the radio while driving to work the other day. I am so sorry that i had not known early so as to pay my respects at his wake/funeral.
My family and I moved into Glen Cove back in 1999 and into your parish during a most difficult and overwhelming time in our lives and Father Manny’s kindness, smile and genuine care saw us through it all. Although, we moved away several years ago, I still had come a few times to worship and pray in the beautiful new church which was truly a dream come true for him and his community. Fr Manny’s length of service in the community that he lived and loved is truly a testament to his devotion to his parish and God. I know for a fact that he was highly respected by all the other religious clergy in Glen Cove-another testament to being a man of God and the people. So many people he served and helped. His legacy is also evident in his children, for example his son Alex was the first to approach my children when we first came to the church. I can go on, but I know, as others do, all the good all the love and all the prayers of Father Manny were from a pure heart filled with His Grace. He is missed, even by me, so many miles away, so many years later, I was blessed to have crossed his path and to have recieved his wisdom and care. Solace, sympathies and prayers to his family and his parish. Eonia tou emnime.

Dear Pres. Alexandra & the entire Gratsias Family:
It is with great sadness to hear of the loss of a great friend, brother, & priest. There are many of us who cry with you. Remembering all the times we shared, our drives back and forth to school, the times in the Sons, growing up in the same area, honoring us by being in our wedding, and so many more thing to share that we could go on for days. Be assured that Fr. Manny will be in our prayers always as in yours. May God give all of you the strength at this most difficult time & may we all keep his memory eternal.

Dear Presbytera and family,

I am a former parishioner at St. Paul's who came to know Father Manny many years ago when he visited my Mom in the hospital. She was dying of cancer and Father Manny comforted her with words she sorely needed to hear. She spoke fondly of him until her death and I have always had a special place in my heart for him. He will be missed by so many people.

May his memory be eternal.
