Alfred Frare Obituary

FRARE - Alfred W., 66, of Spring Hill, Florida, and formerly of L.I., NY, passed away at his home on Friday October 12, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife Debby; former wife Dorothy; his brother Ronald and wife Terry; children, Robert and wife Mary, Michael and fiance Kristie, and Colleen and husband Thomas; and stepchildren Nicole and Kelsey, and grandchildren Crystal, Justin, Cassidy and step-granddaughter MacKenzie. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lillian and Alfred, and his loving grandmother Carlotta. Al was a United States Navy Veteran. He later joined the NYC Transit Police department and retired in 1977 after sustaining an injury in the line of duty. While working as a police officer he was a member of the Emerald Society Irish Warpipe Band of the NYC Transit Police. In retirement, Al worked as a private investigator in both NY and Florida. Al had a zest for life and enjoyed golfing, painting, and cooking. His life-long passions were motorcycle riding and boating. Most recently he was a member of the Harley Owners Group of the New Port Richey and LI chapters. Al was also a member of the Calusa Cruise Club and had previously held the office of Commandeer. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday October 27th in Spring Hill, Fla.
