Andrew W. Lawrence

LAWRENCE - Dr. Andrew W., of Centerport on November 11, 2007. Orthopedic surgeon on staff with Huntington Hospital from 1956 to 1988. Past president of the Suffolk County Medical Society, Consultant for the Medical Liability Insurance Company of New York, affiliated with St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson working with Scoliosis patients, graduate of Fordham University and the University of Pennsylvania Medical School, Captain in a MASH Unit stationed in Germany during the Korean War, member and past president of Huntington Country Club and Dorset Field Club in Vermont. Dr. Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife Coral of 63 years. Loving father of Andrew W. Jr. (Pamela), Peter M. (Wendy), Victoria (Joseph) Luchini, Barbara (John) Waszkiewicz, Carl M. (Charlotte), and Patricia (Joshua) Krumholz. Dr. Lawrence is survived by two of his seven siblings Julia Willemin and Murtagh Lawrence. Cherished grandfather of 16, great-grandfather of 7. Visitation Tuesday 2-5 and 7-9pm at the A.L. Jacobsen Funeral Home, Inc. , 1380 New York Avenue, Huntington Station. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, 10:45am at St. Patricks RC Church. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery. Donations would be greatly appreciated in Dr. Lawrence's name to V.N.S. Hospice, 505 Main Street, Northport, NY, 11768 in lieu of flowers.
