Dear Tony,
I's hard to accept that you've been gone ten years now. I remember that cold November morning when I first heard the awful news.
I'm so happy and grateful we reconnected that summer. It was a though those 45 years since high school never existed and we were right back where we began!
That precious time ended much too soon and I'll always treasure it. I know you're up there keeping the angels busy and smiling!
You'll always have a special spot in my heart.

Tony, It's Thanksgiving eve again and I can never spend this day without thinking of you. You're the one who told me that this is the busiest day of the year for "watering holes" because the college kids are home for the holiday and looking to reconnect with their high school buds. I missed you at the 50th reunions, both yours and mine - they were not the same without you. Zit

I was with old friends in Massapequa this summer (2010) and heard that Tony had passed away a few years ago. This saddened me greatly as Tony was a valued member of our crowd. We had many great moments together at the beach, at the bar (!) and not least at my going-away party at Arthur's where his smiling face graced me many years ago. I wish an everlasting light over Tony's memory.

I only recently learned of Tony's passing. Although I only saw him once or twice at class reunions, I remember him as a teenager who was always nice to me, even when I was not popular with others. Reading the other guest book messages and talking with mutual friends, I can see that he deeply touched the hearts of those who knew and loved him as an adult. My belated condolences to his family.

Sweet, sweet Tony. I still tell stories about you, esp. the one when you had a drink in your hand and someone would ask, 'what time is it' and you would turn your hand that held the drink so you could see your watch and let the drink pour down your shirt! With a straight face you told them the time. Always loving thoughts dear, dear Tony.

I just learned of Tony's passing. Spent a couple of hours this past October at the reunion for the class of 1957- Tony could be counted on to be at every union not just at his own. We spent the time filling in the years as I learned of his daughter and his special relationship. He will surely be missed. My condolences to

In the summer of 1960, Tony and I each had summer jobs working for companies located at the intersection of Lufberry and Seaman's Neck Road. I worked for Fenn's Greenhouse and Tony worked for the Lufberry Nursery. We each worked from 8:00AM till 5:00PM and had our lunch hour at the same time. Naturally, being friends, we shared this lunch hour together.

During that lunch break, I had Tony all to myself for one hour a day, EVERY working day, for that ENTIRE SUMMER. At the time I considered myself quite lucky to spend all of that time with him. He may have still been a teenager but he was wise in many ways that belied his young years. I learned many things about life from Tony during those days. I also learned many things about Tony himself, not the least of which was what a wonderful, caring person he was.

Tony so impressed me that when my son was born in 1965, I named him after Tony. Limited space here prevents me from detailing other wonderful things about Tony but suffice it to say, I loved him. His passing leaves a certain emptyness in my life that can never quite be filled.

To Amanda, Andrew and Peter, my deepest sympathy.

To Tony, I'll see you in Heaven.

I just want to thank the six strangers who were so kind to Tony and helped him in the parking lot. especially want to say "thank you" to "M. Greenwood" for being so thoughtful to share Tony's heartbreaking last minutes. Your message takes away the awful lingering question, "What happened to Tony during the disturbing last minutes?" The fact that you wrote that he didn't suffer means everything in the world to me. I was also worried that he might have been alone - but, because you cared, I know that he had six good people with him. I hope that your kindness that day, comes back to each of you a thousand times over. Once again, thank you so much.

Tony touched so many hearts, not in just Wantagh but many other places.
He was a true "Wantagh Warrior" with a spirit like no other. Happy to have known him in later years and sharing stories of our lives as I didn't know Tony very well before 2001 but blessed I got to know him more over the past 6 years. God Bless, be strong Amanda, Andrew and Peter as Tony is at rest with his brother Paul and parents and has become our Angel.

Dear Tony, You were my high school sweetheart and my first love. I was so shocked and saddened to hear what happened to you. There are wonderful memories from our high school days and I am so happy that we "reconnected" again this summer -even though it was for such a short time. That time will always be VERY special to me. We really did come full circle, didn't we?? You will always be in my heart and prayers- I know you were given a special angel to watch over you.

To Anthony's Family-I was so sadden to hear about Anthony. I knew him awhile and he was a wonderful man. He helped my husband out with some baseball cards at a show one time and I tried to put him in contact w/a Mets player that I know and we developed a relationship. I will miss him. All the people at WAMU will miss him too. With sympathy

It is with great sadness that we learned today of Tony's passing. Words cannot describe our feelings. Tony was a great friend for many years and was always a fun guy to be around. Correction: after signging the guest book I realized that it was only 1 1/2 years we were together. It was still too short a time for someone as wonderful as Tony to leave us all. May he stay in Gods arms until we are all together again in Heaven.

My condolences go out to Tony’s family and friends. I only learned of his passing the night of the wake and it is now that the depths of losing him are hitting me. Tony was a dear, kind, and loving person to all who knew him.

Tony walked back into my life the night of the last reunion and it was kismet. We had 2 1/2 wonderful years of knowing each other and it was too soon for Tony to leave all of us. Not until now do I fully understand how much Tony meant to me, I will miss him so very much. We had such a short time together. His laughter, love, and friendship will be deeply missed.

I will miss him greatly and will see him again someday in Heaven. Until then rest in peace my dearest forever friend.

To Tony's Dear Family,
Peter, we met years ago...I do not know the other members of the family but I had the privelidge of working with Tony in the 1980's when we met at the March of Dimes. He was someone who always tried to help others, and I always enjoyed his dry but cleaver sense of humor...in addition to his love of sports. I hope each of you will relish in the good times that were shared.

Deepest sympathy is extended to your family.
Tony was our 'go to guy' whenever we needed personalized shirts, jackets and the like. He could always be counted on to come through no matter how short the deadline.
He was always the first to donate valued sports memorabilia to help raise funds for the many benefits sponsored by Cap's over the years. He was a kind, generous and gentle man who will be sadly missed.

We did not know Tony personally, though we knew his brother Paul.

I remember that during our Freshman year at WHS every coach that Paul met would always ask if he were Tony's brother and after stating that he was it became clear to Paul and all around that much would be expected of him. I imagine that the same held true for Andrew and Peter.

Although, I did not know Tony personally, I knew of him and he was the type of person us younger guys looked up to as role models.

Our sincere condolences go out to Tony's entire family.

You now have a new and special Angel watching over you from Heaven. He is with you today and always. You just can not touch or see him, but I know that there will be special times when you will feel his presence and his love and you will know that he is with you. Death is a beginning not an end. Tony is with his God, His Son Jesus, the Holy Ghost and all the Saints in Heaven and he is happy and safely home in his Father's love and grace in Heaven.

May God Bless and keep you all in His loving embrace now and forever,
