While I was living on Long Island, my family often visited the home of my dad's cousin Freddie and Dorothea, his wife, and my cousins, Kathy and Freddie III. Always gracious, a warm and wonderful hostess, Dorothea made me feel welcome. I so enjoyed a dish she often served, a jello/cucumber salad, that I asked for the recipe, and still have it in my recipe box-"from the kitchen of Dorothea Pratt." I will always have a warm spot in my heart for Dorothea.

I remember my cousin Dorothea as always smiling, and who stayed sweet and calm, no matter what was going on. My family loved to go visit for holiday (or anytime) dinners, as she was a really good cook! Dorothea was wonderful, generous woman, and was a positive influence on all those who knew her.

Thank you for being a Girl Scout leader to be remembered. Scouting had such a positive affect in my life and the lives of many young girls helping shape them into well rounded, morally responsible women, mothers and wives of today. Also to your credit back 30+ years you were thinking - recycle! I recall being at the house and there were rinsed out baggies (before ziplock) hanging from every cabinet door in the kitchen :-)
