HAPPY 53rd BIRTHDAY
SWEET ANGEL IN HEAVEN
We miss you Karen so very much.
The pain comes new each day.
The memory of your bright blue
eyes serve to light the way to you.
You are surely missed but you are
never forgotten. There is a bridge
between Heaven and Earth and
one day we will cross that bridge
and we will all be together in heaven.
We miss you everyday and love
you more everyday.

My Beautiful Mommy,
I love you so much, and I miss you more everyday. I can't stop thinking about you and how beautiful and wonderful you were. You were my life. Now, a little over 4 months since you're gone, it is still the hardest thing for me. I miss you so much.
Love,
Your daughter, Sarah

To all the relatives, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and the
community of Northport, we cannot
express enough gratitude for the
tremendous outpouring of love that
was shone at Karen's Memorial on
saturday December 1st. Many thanks
for your cards, flowers and your visits which always brought a smile
to her face and helped her through
her long illness. Her neighbors have lovingly commishioned a bench to be built in her memory and to be
placed in Northport Village Park. I hope everyone gets a chance to come down to the harbor that she loved so much and visit her bench and remember the happy times we had with her. Love Sister-in-law Cathy, Brother-in-law Dennis, and

My Dearest Karen
I carried you for nine months and
gave birth to you and from that day
until you were taken from me You
were an absolutely joy to have you
as my daughter. I am grieving you
daily but I do know that you are the angel Karen that is on my
shoulder every day helping me to
ease my pain of sorrow and I do know that you will be there forever. I will never stop loving
you because you were such a loving
and given daughter who everybody
looked up to for whatever help you
could give them. I thank God every
day for giving me such a beautiful,
loving and caring daughter.
I will love you forever.
Your Mother Lilly
as Angel Karen every day of my life
and I feel very safe knowing that
at this time you are taking care of
me.

Yesterday, I flew to New York to attend the memorial of my loving sister.
My sister patterned her life after our grandmother, Memere.
She was good, kind, generous, and honorable.
The day of our grandmother's funeral, when the priest asked God to forgive her her sins, we all laughed.
Our grandmother never sinned in her life.
My sister was my spiritual advisor.
I talked to her every other day on the telephone and I am who I am because of her.
Whenever I needed advice or an encouraging word--she had one for me.
But--my sister is not gone; our conversations just take place over a longer distance.
She is with us and today, we celebrated her life and her accomplishments.
The best part about today was seeing all of the hundred plus people whose lives she touched.
Like an angel, she watched us all.
It was so nice to see:
All of my family,
All of my cousins,
Her childhood friends,
My Godparents,
My Goddaughter,
Steve and Steven
Janice and Danny
Kathy and Dennis
Chris and Bryan
Timmy and his friend Robert
Joyce
Susan, Darlene, Aaron, and Jacob
All the many friends of my niece, nephew, and sister.
This day I will never forget.
I will mostly remember how beautiful the day,
how beautiful the scenery,
how beautiful the church,
how beautiful the harbor,
how beautiful the smiles of all of the people
wiping tears away to tell me how happy they were to see me.
I will always cherish this memorial day, December 1st, for my sister... in New York.
