Kenneth Felder

FELDER - Kenneth, 2 days shy of his 94th birthday, of Rockville Centre, N.Y. died peacefully and surrounded by love on Monday, December 3, 2007. Born in New York City, he was the son of Celia and Louis Felder, He attended City College of New York and served in the Army during World War Two. After the war, he was a partner at Felder Brothers, a leading manufacturer of leather and plastic goods. He was a long time member of Central Synagogue of Nassau County and its Men's Club and Bnai Brith. He was an accomplished bridge player and had a quick wit and a sharp mind until the end. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 65 years, Gertrude (Levenson) Felder, his two adoring daughters Toby Schwefel and her husband Michael of West Hartford, CT and Carolyn Felder and her long time companion Louis Salamone of New York City. He also leaves three devoted grandchildren, Charles Schwefel and his wife Ashlee of Bloomfield, Ct Jeffrey Schwefel of Alston, MA and David Schwefel and his companion Rachel Schwell of Hartford, CT. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 6, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Gutterman's Memorial Chapel at Rockville Centre, N.Y. Shiva will be observed at his home after the Funeral Service and Saturday evening. Shiva will also be observed at his daughter Toby's home on Monday at 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of Donors choice.
