Stephen Beach Obituary

Stephen Beach Sr. FUNERAL NOTICE: A celebration of life for Stephen D. Beach Sr., 92, of Ormond Beach, Fla., will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach. Mr. Beach was born Aug. 14, 1916, in Washington, D.C., son of Francis and Elizabeth Beach. A lifelong resident, he honorably served on the Metropolitan Police force, motorcycle division until his retirement in 1966. During his tenure as a police officer, he served in the motorcade for the funeral services of President Kennedy. He was a Mason and a member of the Grand Lodge of District of Columbia. An avid golfer, he and his wife enjoyed playing at various golf courses, and was a former member of the Riviera Country Club. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Dorothy K. Beach; son Stephen (Margaret) Beach Jr., Mechanicsville, Md.; daughter Patricia (Raymond) Allebach, Beverly Beach, Fla.; stepdaughter, Nancy Joanne Drake, Westminster, Md., and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society.
