Bertha Remillard Obituary

Bertha Remillard 1919 2008 NORTH ADAMS Bertha A. Barriere Remillard, 89, of 451 Union St., died on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at North Adams Commons. She was born in North Adams on Feb. 5, 1919, daughter of Albert and Florence Thibert Barriere. She attended schools in North Adams. Mrs. Remillard worked as a technician for the former Sprague Electric Co., until retiring. Earlier she had been employed for various woolen mills. She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church, North Adams. She was a member of the Adams Senior Citizens, and a former member of the Brunswick Archery Club, Brunswick, N.Y. She enjoyed archery, fishing, knitting and crocheting. She leaves her husband of 70 years, George J. Remillard, whom she married Oct. 23, 1937; two sons, Roland Remillard and his wife, Theresa, of Adams, and Robert Remillard and his wife, Heather, of North Vasselboro, Maine, and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Leo Barriere. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Donations may be made to the North Adams Regional Hospital Physical Therapy Department through the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, which is in charge of arrangements.
