Natalie Accetta Obituary

Natalie Accetta 1925 - 2008 NORTH ADAMS Natalie Constance Grillone Accetta, 82 of 107 Brooklyn St., died Sunday Sept. 21, at North Adams Regional Hospital after living courageously for many years with failing health. She was born in Waterloo, N.Y on Dec. 24, 1925, daughter of Antonio Grillone and Mary Qualtieri Grillone. She attended schools in Seneca Falls, N.Y. and North Adams including the former St. Joseph's High School. Natalie was first employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. and worked at Molly's Bakery for many years. She worked as a nanny for the Lamb family and helped raise their children, David, Katie, and William Lamb. She considered them as part of her own family. Natalie last worked as a caregiver for the elderly. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. She attended the downtown Adult Day Health Center. She enjoyed games of chance, cooking, reading, and dining out. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was the widow of Louis F. Accetta, who died on April 22, 1994. They were married on May 17, 1952. She leaves one daughter, Mary Lou Accetta, of North Adams, with whom she made her home; one grandson, Melvin Accetta, of North Adams, two Brothers, Peter Grillone, of North Adams, and Rocco Grillone, of Williamstown, nieces and nephews and her family of friends including; Mary Jirkovsky, Barbara Jirkovsky, Eileen McKeon, Gregory, Angela Lora, Sherry Wein, Robert Wray, and Pat Hansen. Three brothers are deceased- Leo, Dominic, and Frank Grillone. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Natalie Constance Grillone will be Tuesday Sept. 23, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPELS, 74 Marshall St. North Adams. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in Southview cemetery. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adult Day Health Center; Elder Services of Berkshire County; or VNA-Hospice of North Berkshire in care of the funeral home.
