Nancy M. Benoit 1933 - 2008 NORTH ADAMS Nancy Margaret Benoit, 74, of 115 Rich St. died Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, at her home that she and her husband built. She was under the care of her loving daughter, Mary. Born in North Adams on Oct. 12, 1933, a daughter of William and Florence Moir Jennings, she attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1951. Mrs. Benoit was employed at the former A&P Supermarket and the former Adams Supermarket in North Adams as a meat wrapper. She was last employed in the food service dept. of McCann Technical High School until her retirement in 1993. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. Her husband, Wayne Bryant Benoit, whom she married Aug. 2, 1952, died Feb. 11, 1994. She leaves her daughter, Mary Bryant, and her husband, Jeffery of North Adams; a son, Jeffrey L. Benoit of the state of Florida; 10 grandchildren, Brian Pytko, Robert Pytko, Eric Bryant, Wayne Benoit, Amanda Benoit, Joshua Benoit, Jonas Benoit, Josiah Benoit, Jesse Benoit, and Heidi Benoit; several great-grandchildren; a brother, Peter Jennings of Merrimac, N.H.; a sister, Bonnie Bloomingdale of Northampton, Pa.; longtime friends, Carollu and Edmund Dupuis of North Adams, and nieces and nephews Her son, Kirk "Corky" Benoit, died Dec. 26, 2004. She was also predeceased by a brother, Paul Jennings, and by a sister, Shirley Scarbo. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Nancy Benoit will be Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008, at 8:15 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be today, Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m.
