Walter A. Braman, 75, of 242 White Oaks Road, Williamstown, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Clarksburg on Sept. 28, 1932, he was a son of Walter and Anna (Duverney) Braman. He attended schools in Clarksburg.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Army in Germany from January 1953 to December 1954.
He was employed for many years at Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams and General Cable and Cornish Wire Co. in Williamstown. He also was employed at Connor’s Brothers Moving Co. in Williamstown. He was last employed for the Berkshire Ambulance Service, retiring in 1997.
He leaves his wife, the former Joan Boyer, whom he married April 27, 1968 in Williamstown; a son, Scott Braman and his wife, Amber, of North Adams; two daughters, Lisa Braman of Pownal, Vt., and Laurie Lingner and her husband, John, of North Pownal, Vt.; two grandchildren, Matthew and Katie Braman; a brother, Leo Braman of Stamford, Vt.; and three sisters, Anna Spagnolo and Dorothy Mazza of North Adams, and Joan Morse of Vernon, Vt.
A brother, William Braman, is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Private funeral services for Walter Braman will be held Friday, Dec. 7, 2007, at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 W. Main St., North Adams. Burial will take place in the springtime in North Pownal Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cheshire Youth Football League or the Second Chance Animal Shelter through the funeral home.
