Peter A. Masterson Jr.

MASTERSON Peter A. Jr., 93, of Ocean Grove, formerly of Ridgewood, passed away January 16th. Born April 30, 1915 in Brooklyn, NY, Peter moved to Ridgewood, NJ at the age of seven where he lived until 2005, graduating in 1932 from Ridgewood High School and in 1936 from the Manhattan College Business School. While in Ridgewood, he was a member of the Hobbyists, the Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus. During his 41 years with Texaco, he worked in Jamaica, Brazil and NYC. He was married to Catherine 'Rita' Donahue for 67 years and was a loving father to six daughters. Peter is predeceased by his brother Robert Masterson and two sisters, Margaret Lawrence and Constance Clark. He is survived by his wife Rita and sister Dorthea Davis. He is also survived by his six children, Maryellen Warwick and husband Andrew, Kathleen Warwick and husband Stephen, Joan Ianacone and husband Albert, Ann Colantuono and the late Frank, Eileen Masterson and Margaret Masterson. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450, 201-444-7650. Funeral Mass Thursday at 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in Ridgewood, followed by interment Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
