Hello, never had a chance to meet Gregg in real life but feel obliged to comment anyways out of love and respect. I randomly got recommended a Saraya interview on youtube a few days ago. I had never heard this band before but alas had 2 hours or so to kill on my commute home from work (I live in Boston, the subway is TERRIBLE here). Glam Metal (while I enjoy it) isn't my main cup of tea, so I wasn't initially sure why it popped up, but I ended up really loving the interview and music. I ended up listening to both albums that night and wow. Incredible stuff. So anthemic and heartfelt!!! Where did that go in music?!? The song St. Christopher's medal in particular stuck out to me. What a beautiful piece of music Gregg wrote on the piano. The lyrics are absolutely tearjerking as well.
Anyways, just wanted to say thank you for the music. I am only 25 years old, so it lives on with a younger generation. Love and God Bless!!!

I grew up in the same small town (Rochelle Park) as Gregg, so you knew everyone (or their brothers or sisters). We also were both on the Track team at Hackensack High. After high school, when Gregg was touring I only ran into him occasionally or would go see him play if he was local. The thing about Gregg is that it didn't matter if a year or more would pass without seeing him. There was a time period when i had not seen him for about 2 years. I was walking into the diner to order something to take out. And there was Gregg - He said "Weese", how are you bro?! Sit down and let's eat - He wouldn't take no for an answer and of course he wouldn't let me pay. We talked about many things that evening...
That is the kind of person he was - struggles? Of course, who doesn't have them? But he loved people, family, friends & shined a bright light into the world. Like Jesus would have us do! We really need more of that today - his time was "short", but he touched many and because of the cross of Christ, I will see you again brother. God Bless his family and those who knew him!

Gregg, though I never had the good fortune to meet you and the rest of the band, the incredible music you all made together, and the stories of what a giving, kind human being you were, continue to give me inspiration, and hope. I try my best to follow the example you set; I go out of my way to do little things for people I don't know simply because it's the Christian thing to do. If there were more people in this world like you, the world would be a much better place.
There is no guarantee as to how long we are given on this Earth-each day is a blessing, and we can never take them for granted. I've been fighting some health issues of my own, but it's Saraya's incredible music that pushes me forward. Every time I hurt, I pop in the earbuds on my phone, and play one of your albums as loud as I can, and I feel like I can push through anything. I just want you to know the music you, Sandi, Tony, Gary and Chuck made is still remembered with great fondness by myself, and many others. The gifts you left this world, your talent, and your humanity, won't soon be forgotten. God Bless.

Today i thought i would look up an old friend and try to reunite when i sadly came across greggs guest book here. Im so very sorry to hear of greggs passing. I lost contact with him many years ago as we both ventured onto different roads in the music business. I will never forget going to his place at lunchtime and watching in complete amazement as he created incredible sounds and music on those keyboards. He was one of the most talented keyboard players i ever knew and a great friend back in those days.

To Lucas, Shayne and Liane -
December always brings special memories of Gregg.
The movie, It's a Wonderful Life, a Christmas favorite of Gregg's that brought tears to his eyes.
If anyone ever personified the heart of George Bailey in real life, it was Gregg.
A cold wintry day before Christmas in Burlington, Vermont while touring with Saraya & Bad English.
Sitting in a hotel room with Gregg, Sandi, Chuck, Tony and Gary, talking and laughing about nothing, and everything.
Spending that Christmas / Holiday break with Gregg and his Dad at their home in New Jersey and being warmly welcomed by all of Gregg's family.
Sadly, saying goodbye to Gregg and the Band after the final show working for them, New Years Eve in Washington, DC. It was a somber bus drive back to their respective homes.

I ONLY MET GREGG ONCE, WHEN THE BAND WAS PLAYING A BAR VENUE IN HICKORY, NC. MY STEP-FATHER BILL BERNER WAS GREGG'S FATHER BOBBY'S COUSIN. DURING THE SHOW I HELD UP THIS FUNNY PICTURE OF COUSIN BOBBY WEARING A FIREMAN'S HELMET & GREGG SHOUTED “HEY!!! THAT'S MY DAD!!!” AFTER THE SHOW – AS TIRED AS HE MUST HAVE BEEN FROM THE ROAD, HE MADE A POINT TO COME OUT TO THE BAR, MEET ME AND MAKE ME FEEL AT HOME. THAT'S HOW THE MUNIER CLAN IS AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN – ABOUT *FAMILY*… GREGG DIDN'T HAVE TO COME OUT AND MAKE THAT EFFORT - BUT HE DID – BECAUSE HE IDENTIFIED ME AS *FAMILY* - BECAUSE I WAS BILL BERNER'S DAUGHTER. IT TOOK MY MOTHER PEGGIE SIX MONTHS TO TELL ME THAT GREGG HAD PASSED IN 2006 – SHE KNEW HOW HARD I WOULD TAKE THE LOSS AND SHE WAS RIGHT. GREGG MUNIER WAS ONE OF THE WARMEST, KINDEST MEN I HAVE EVER MET. IT IS BEAUTIFUL THAT HE HAS A LIVING LEGACY IN HIS SONS. HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, AND HE WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED.

hey there buddy.
with this wonderful thing called the internet, i have been able to reconnect with old friends and find new ones as well.
one of my favorite new ones is a woman named anne marie. she is a fan of a good friend of mine who is in the music business. that is our connection. we only know fringe things about each other outside of that.
this being the case, it intrigued me that just two nights ago, out of nowhere, she posted the following:
"Spent the past 3 hours power cleaning my bedroom. If I'm going to have nurses visiting me, this house will be spotless. AND I found my Saraya CD right before I started, so that made the time fly by. Thanks, Saraya!"
how cool is that?! that's your music pal!
i hadn't noticed that the day before, she began her quest to find it, for she is apparently having surgery on the 8th and she wants to have the cd while in the hospital. the nurses she is referring to i would gather are some that will be home health aides, or the like, when she gets out.
anyhow, her post made my day! 23 years later and one of the things she wants there with her to get through rough patches is your music. (of course and sandi and tony and etc, but you get my point. it started with you and sandi in alsace lorraine, no? now i am thinking it is time, once again, for me to cue up that song of the same name.
in fact, i have surgery the day before her. a simple same day procedure,in and out the same day, but now iam also thinking of playing me some saraya when i get home as well!
