East Sullivan – Corris B. Preble, 84, died Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born in Sullivan, September 30, 1918 the daughter of William and Olive (Gray) Martin. Corris was a member of the South Gouldsboro Evangelical Church and the Ashville Methodist Church, serving both churches as organist for many years. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Clive Preble of East Sullivan; two children, Cynthia Farrington and her husband, Lee of Lakeland, Florida and Mitchell Preble and his wife Ruth of Bucksport; three grandchildren, Michelle Nowlin of Columbus, Ohio, Rebekah Roy of Lewiston, Lorissa Moore of Hinesville, Georgia; a great granddaughter, Destiny Lee Moore of Hinesville, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Corris was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jennifer Farrington; her sisters and brother, Thelma, Vida, and Lucy Penney and Edward Martin. Graveside services will be held 1 P.M. Friday, December 13 at the Preble Cemetery, Morancy Road, East Sullivan with the Rev. Chuck Ives officiating. Gifts in memory of Corris may be sent to the Ashville Methodist Church, Ashville Road, Sullivan, 04607. Arrangements are by Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Ellsworth.
