Dear Jeanie and Jessika - Deanna and I are still in shock over the news of Dennis' heart attack. We want to express our sympathy to you and your family. I first met Dennis through 'Aunty' Rosie in 1966, when I was an unattached navy officer (she used to feed us and give us a family). We kind of lost touch with the Mings after we left San Diego, except at Christmas, when we exchanged letters. Thanks for continuing to think about us, but please no more letters like the last one. I'm still amazed that Dennis got involved in shooting, I would have expected that of David. If possible, could you send me David's email?
With deepest sympathy,

Barry & Deanna Boling

Dear Jeanie and Jessica
My sincere condolences on the passing of Dennis. He was an inspiration to all of us who knew him at SASS.
My first meeting with Dennis was 10 years ago when I was new to SASS.
I went to shoot speed rifle as a side match. My new rifle was ready and after shooting 2 or 3 rounds I saw that Dennis was already finished well ahead of me. I calmy completed my turn and my buddy Chester said "Well, that was China Camp"!!!
I knew I had just met an incredibly skilled competitor and more than that,a great man. It was my pleasure to know Dennis and your family and I greatly enjoyed the few times we shot together.
Sincerely
Doc Lalo-

Jeanie - My sincerest condolences to you and your daughter. I was very sad to hear that Dennis had passed away.

I met Dennis at the age of nine, when we were in fourth grade. We had classes together through high school. We also lived on the same street, during those years.

More than anything else that I remember about Dennis...is that he had the gift of a deep sense of personal integrity, even at a very young age.

I am glad that Dennis was blessed with a loving wife and daughter, and with such an accomplished life. Your web tribute is a wonderful way to honor him.

Please extend my condolences to David, as well.

Kindest regards, Sharon Meiner Calton

To the Ming family,
My sincerest condolences, I was saddened to hear Dennis's passing. Dennis was a exceptional pharmacist who mentored and guided so many, many pharmacists including myself in our careers. He was always great to work with, fair, enthusiatic and with that great laugh of his. He touched the lives of so many people and made us better people.
Sincerely,
Diane Ozasa Bell

The memorial service on Saturday was well done, a fitting elegy for a soul such as Dennis's. Although I was an aquaintance for the past 13 years and not a close personal friend he always was friendly to approach and we discussed many things ranging from foreign travel to the merits of various digital SLR cameras.
A finer man than he I shall not know.

Jeannie and Jessica,
I would like to express my sincere condolences to you during this time of loss. It has been many years since I've been in contact with Dennis, but my memory of our days working together as clinical pharmacists at OCMC - fresh out of Pharmacy School -- are still vivid. At that time, Dennis was just beginning to make his mark as a leader, and continued to do so throughout his career. Dennis has had a positive impact on pharmacy and on health care to the public. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Dennis was a friend of mine and a fellow State pharmacist. He was very much respected by his peers and those outside the profession of pharmacy. He will be missed, but we have the memories to keep us going.

Dear Jeanie and Jessica,

My condolences to you and your family. I remember Dennis as one of my expert preceptors during my residency at UC Irvine Medical Center. I still recall some of his more colorful, straight shooting comments. He was a fine pharmacist, well respected and will be sorely missed by his peers.

Jeanie & Jessika,
Dennie and I were profoundly saddened after hearing of Dennis's passing. Dennis and I were fraternity brothers in Pharmacy School. He graduated the year before I did, and he was always at least a couple of years ahead of me during our professional careers. We worked together for the best of 22 years at UCIMC, and we shared a great professional relationship. We will miss him. I will miss him, and I share your grief at this time.

Many years ago, when I was at OCMC and later UCIMC, I knew Dennis. He was a young promising pharmacist as his career demonstrates. I was so sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age.

Remember

Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
