Henry was my uncle and I really liked him alot and was devastated when I heard of his passing he was not only a very nice and funny person he was extremely smart and brilliant on the piano and other instruments like my other uncle Les who is also a brilliant musician on the electric organ and accordion Henry and Les could play classical music on their instruments that was absolutely amazing I miss Henry dearly and pray his soul be up in HEAVEN with the Lord GOD and JESUS CHRIST our father and Savior !!! I hope to see you again some day Henry my friend may you rest in peace until we meet again !!!

FOR ROBIN
May Sadness Fly Away
May you, Robbin, have peace from without and within,
Think on the positive and do not bend.
Count your many blessings of today,
Savor the good times and warmth of yesterday.
And the moments gone by that were filled with gladness,
Hold them close, to your heart, and make not room for sadness.
Be stilled when facing a future doubt,
May the Lord lift and keep you through that drought.
May you see life as bright, beautiful and rare,
And feel and know the love of family and friends who care.

I have so many fond memories of my uncle Henry growing up together, we were the same age. Henry gave me my very first driving lesson on my 16th birthday, and boy did we get in trouble. I remember many trips to Wenatchee and Aberdeen visiting grandma, grandpa and uncle Henry. All the great music, grandma's great cooking, grandpa's juicy fruit gum and beauty uncle Henry's prized kitty. I was very fortunate to see my uncle Henry here in Seattle 5 years ago. I will always cherish my memories with Henry. My thoughts and prayers are with all my family at this very sad time. Carrie

Henry, I remember being a child when Bill still owned Dixie and I would come to the office to see my mom and you were always wearing a bow tie. I remember giggling and thinking it was so weird seeing this very tall guy wearing a bow tie. I remember when I was in my teens going to Coral Sky for concerts and always seeing you at the gates. I will miss that very much. Being able to work with you last year with my mom, is a memory that will last forever. You, Ginger and I would goof off so much and just laugh about the stupidest things, and I know one phrase I cannot mention on here will forever be sketched into my mind..:) :) I will always think of you and remember all the fun times in the office and laugh.. :) I will forever remember you trying to pass your knowledge on to me about the proper ways of the Insurance world. You will forever be missed. Though you are no longer with us here on earth you will always carry a torch in all of our hearts. May God be with you and your family in this time of need. You can rest easy now Henry. We all love you, and miss you very much!!!!

There were four Gugel kids raised on the farm of SD. Ileen got married and left home, Leslie went on the road as a musician and Roger went into the Air Force. The folks and I moved into town and when I finished school I got married and left town as well.
Then, when Mother was 51 and Dad was 57 they announced they were expecting another child. Henry was born October 6th, twenty-one years after the rest of us--younger than many of his neices and nephews and the same age as many.
He saw them more as his siblings than he did his actual brothers and sisters. We loved him as a combination of little brother and one of the kids.
He was many things, including highly intelligent, a poet, a character, a cook, a gardener, and a musician. I'll never hear a rag without thinking of Henry.
May the love Jesus surround us and get us through this terrible tragedy.

Our sympathy to all of you who grieve for Henry, (my second cousin),who was a friend of our son, Brian, spending time at our house after school. He often gave our piano a good work-out. What a talented boy he was! I speak also for Brian when I say we are so sorry for your loss. (His mother's first cousin, Rudolph Heyd, passed away Oct 3, 2007 ).

Robbin, I was so sad to hear about the death of Henry. I am his cousin, daughter of his beloved Aunt Eva. Because we lived so many miles apart, I never had the opportunity to really know Henry but my mother, Eva, kept me up to date. She loved him very much.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Much love, Ruby Gehring Schubert, Klamath Falls, Oregon

Henry was as fine a son-in-law as you could hope for. He was super intelligent but not a smart alec. He had great sense of humor and was always making puns that produced groans from all of us. He was sensitive and generous almost to a fault. How many men would bake his mother-in-law her favorite pie on her birthday or bring home "chick flicks" to watch with his wife? I'll never forget the time when he and Robbin dressed up as the "Cone Heads" for a Hallowe'en party and telling every one that they were "from France". They were hilarious.
He has left a mighty hole in many hearts because to know him was to love him, and we did.

Dedicated to my friend Henry
Life's Journey
I am on a journey,
On a path I didn't choose,
Onward, I must, to eternity,
For I have so much to loose.
A detour to take does weary me,
I keep searching for the clues,
At the fork I must go singularly,
I can not go in twos.
The vehicle has no reverse,
Nor anchor or brake shoes,
And to make matters worse,
I must pay the toll, the dues.
The fuel is not empty,
How much I have not the news,
Journey ends when used completely,
On this I can not refuse.
The route now a memory,
So too road signs and the views,
My destination now before me,
I stop, now to recluse.

I remember one Christmas season Hery was working at the mall in a novelty/toy store. I was looking through some of the bins and saw a Frisbee with a CBS logo on it. Just then Herny came up and said he was working there. I said this looks pretty bad. He said, "Your right!" He picked it up and tossed it across the store and said, "It's a real eye soar." He then went to another bin with the devices that you hold up to a light, look through, turn a wheel and see different multi-colored designs. He picked two of them up, started banging the ends together and said, "Look collide-a-scopes!"
I'll always love you Henry. You were my best friend.

Requiem
There is a place of eternal rest,
Where trials and troubles will divest,
A place for souls to invest,
An etheral, warm and cozy nest.
A place, I can atest,
For me and you and all the rest,
If they can but pass one test,
Of by the Savior, being blessed.

I was so surprised to see this in the Aberdeen Newspaper. I grew up with Henry and would have loved to have the chance to see him after all these years. I was at his mothers Funeral Service that was done here in Aberdeen and was hoping he would be here so I could have had the chance to see him after all these years. We lived just 2 houses away from one another when we were in school. Please know that he had a special mark on my heart after all these years he was one very special person and the world will miss him.
