Elnora Fay Wilkinson PORTSMOUTH - Elnora Fay Wilkinson, 73, went home to be with the Lord Jan. 1, 2009, after a short illness. She was born in Oxford, N.C. A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Fay graduated from Churchland High School in 1954. She was employed for many years and retired from Virginia Chemicals. She was predeceased by her infant daughter, Brenda Fay Harris and her parents, Agrippa H. and Sallie M. Medlin. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving husband of 49 years, Leonard L. Wilkinson Sr.; one son, Leonard L. Wilkinson Jr. and his wife Linda, Linda's daughter, Jennifer Leffler; and one grandson, Michael L. Wilkinson. She is survived by sisters, Ruth Harris and Nora Mae Baker of Portsmouth and Louise Wright of Chesapeake and a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Fay was a member of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church in Chesapeake and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she relished time spent with her 4-year-old grandson. She will be missed yet forever in our hearts. A funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Paul W. Parker and the Rev. Jackie Allen at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, 5815 High St. West, with burial following in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth.
