Emily Rose Agueio

HUDSON FALLS Emily Rose Agueio, infant daughter of Carlos and Maudie (Burgess) Agueio of Main Street, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 from a rare condition called Endocardial Fibroelastosis. Endocardial Fibroelastosis is caused by a common virus that prevents the heart from working properly; As a result, the muscles of the heart are coated by fibrous tissue instead of the muscle needed to pump properly. This is very rare condition and there is not a cure or prevention that can be done at this time. Emily Rose was born on Feb. 15, 2008, in the Glens Falls Hospital. In addition to her parents, Carlos and Maudie Agueio of Hudson Falls, she is survived by her brothers and sisters, Hajo Burgess of Tulsa, Okla., Elizabeth Burgess of Hudson Falls, Carlos Agueio of Hudson Falls and David Agueio of Hudson Falls; and many other close family and family friends. Funeral services were held on Friday, July 11, 2008 at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., 68 Main St. in Hudson Falls, with the Rev. David Lefurgey, pastor of the Hudson Falls United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward.
