Helen Gregory Obituary

HUDSON FALLS Helen Inez Gregory, 86, of Martindale Avenue, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at the Glens Falls Hospital. Born on Oct. 18, 1921, in Malone, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Gilbert and Leila (Hamilton) Willette. Helen was a 1939 graduate of Malone School. In 1942, she married Clarence Edward Gregory in Malone. He passed away Nov. 13, 1989. During World War II, Helen worked at Ayerst Laboratories Inc. in Rouses Point and later at Newcomb Central School until her retirement in the early 1980s. She enjoyed her family, reading, day trips and she had many friends including her special friends, Flo Monroe of Comstock, Ginny Hall, Dorothy LaCourse and Pauline Miller of Newcomb. Besides her parents, her brothers, Kenneth and Donald Willette, sisters, Nora Gregory and Alice Douglas and brother-in-law, Robert Gregory all predeceased her. Survivors include her sons: David Gregory of Olmstedville, Michael and Bryon Gregory both of Hudson Falls; her daughters: Shirley Bean of Glens Falls, Diane Gregory and Cathleen Gregory, both of Hudson Falls; her daughter-in-law, Karen Gregory of Olmstedville; her grandchildren: Deena Powers and her husband, Andrew, Tracy Bean, all of Glens Falls, Chelsie Cronell and her husband, Brandan, Melanie Gregory all of Albany, Joel and Tina Gregory, of Olmstedville, Matthew Gregory and his wife, Tina of Florida; her great-grandchildren: Rylie Powers, Johnathan, Kristian and Kaitlyn Cronell, Corbin and Saylor Bean, Ian, Sebastian and Isabella Gregory; and several nieces and nephews. At Helen's request there will be no calling hours. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in St. Theresa's Cemetery, Newcomb. Donations may be made in Helen's memory to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the care of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

Helen was a wonderful person and I consider myself so lucky that I got a chance to know her and walk with her and my gram. My gram and I both really thought the world of her. She will be missed I love you Helen my deepest sympathies to the family also thank you for mentioning my gram :)
