Marjorie Taylor Obituary

CORINTH Marjorie L. Taylor, 80, a longtime resident of Oak Street, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at the Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa, following a long illness. Born on Nov. 17, 1926, in Corinth, she was the daughter of the late Gilford and Clara (Wagner) Clayton. Mrs. Taylor attended Corinth High School. She married Robert C. Taylor on May 17, 1982, and the couple resided in Corinth for several years. He died Dec. 8, 1994. Mrs. Taylor was employed at the Cluett-Peabody Shirt Factory in Corinth for many years, and also worked at the International Paper Co. in Corinth and at Warren Industries in Glens Falls. She also was employed at the Embassy Shirt Factory in Glens Falls. She enjoyed bingo and loved animals. Survivors include one brother, Robert Clayton, and his wife, Elsie, of Ballston Spa; one niece and several cousins. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at the Corinth Rural Cemetery, Route 9N, Corinth, with the Rev. John Aldridge, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Corinth, officiating. The family suggests donations be made to the Corinth Emergency Squad, 101 Sherman Ave., Corinth, NY 12822. Arrangements are under the direction of Densmore Funeral Home, Inc., 7 Sherman Ave., Corinth.
