He relocated his family to Lake George in the early 1970s where he co-owned the Westover Lodge for two years then owned the Trinity Rock Motel for nine years. Upon selling the motel, he and his family spent the next decade living in Pilot Knob. George was also employed with Livingston Furniture of Glens Falls for 20 years. In the early 1990s, George retired and he and Sue moved to Ketchum/Sun Valley, Idaho, where he worked part time at a local packing/shipping company. He also enjoyed oil painting and even entered juried art shows in the Ketchum/Sun Valley area of Idaho. George was known for his great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew him. Even after moving to Idaho, he kept in touch with his many friends and family in the Glens Falls/Lake George area. He will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives he touched over the years. A memorial service will be held in Ketchum, Idaho in the spring. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Upstate New York, 6 Automation Lane, Albany, NY 12205.
