Catherine Herrington Obituary

BALD MOUNTAIN Catherine G. Herrington, 88, a former resident of Bald Mountain, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, at Pleasant Valley Nursing Facility in Argyle. Born Nov. 12, 1919, in the town of Greenwich, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anna Gamble Lauder. She was a member of the Fort Miller Reformed Church and the Vereengheit Circle of the Church. She was active in the Pony Racing Association, had driven a school bus for Greenwich Central School, was a rural carrier for the U.S. Post Office, was an active member of the Middle Falls Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and also worked in the cafeteria at Schuylerville Central School for many years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clyde Herrington and her daughter, Barbara Herrington. Survivors include her cousins, Pat Lauder of Greenwich and Leneta Gamache of Saratoga Springs, and a niece. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, with the Rev. Charles Bailey officiating. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, prior to the service. Burial will be in the Greenwich Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Online remembrances can be made at www.flynnbrosinc.com

So sorry to hear of Kates passing. We knew Kate when she raced the ponies and I had taken care of her when she first went into the adult home. I moved shortley after she came there,but she still had her spunk and careing.

I SPENT ALOT OF MY CHILDHOOD WITH 'AUNT' KATE. SHE WAS A WONDERFUL WOMAN AND WILL BE TRULY MISSED.
