Ruth M. Drost

East Greenbush Ruth M. (Van Hoesan) Drost, 88, formerly of Van Buren Avenue, died Friday at Bennington Health & Rehabilitation Center, in Bennington, Vt. Born in Valatie, N.Y., she lived in Niverville before moving to East Greenbush. She was a member of Tri-X of East Greenbush and the Ladies Home Bureau for Rensselaer County. She was predeceased by her husband, William Drost, and her son, William Drost. Survivors include one son, James H. (Donna) Drost of Greenwich; one sister, Harriett Schmidt of Fort Ann and one brother, Howard Van Hoesan of Niverville; four grandchildren: Heather Frisk, James Drost Jr., Dawn Boyea and David Drost; five great-grandchildren: Michaela Frisk, Samantha and Danielle Boyea and Jacob and Serena Drost. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Turnpike, Rensselaer. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery Kinderhook, N.Y. Friends may call Monday, Nov. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
