Earl Thomas Obituary

EASTON Earl W. Thomas, 87, a longtime dairy farmer in the Town of Easton, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Facility in Argyle after a long illness. Born Sept. 6, 1920, in Argyle, he was the son of the late William E. and Florence Moore Thomas. Earl was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW Post No. 7291 in Greenwich. He was a member of the Bottskill Baptist Church in Greenwich. In addition to his farming, he was also retired from Chase Bag Company in Hudson Falls. Survivors are his wife, Pauline Collis Thomas of Easton; a son, Lloyd Thomas and his wife, Tammy of Easton; a daughter, Linda Thomas of Clifton Park; a brother, Lloyd Thomas and his wife, Mary of Darien, Conn.; two sisters, Harriet Hall of Highland, N.Y. and Marion Thomas of Hudson Falls; grandchildren, Jason Thomas and his wife, Sarayna, Kerry Thomas and her fiancé, Scott Smith, and Cody Thomas; there are several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at Flynn Bros., Inc. Funeral Home, 80 Main St., Greenwich, with the Rev. Sandra Spaulding, officiating. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery Argyle. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Nov. 20, 2007, at the funeral home. Memorials in his name can be made to the Country Meadows Activity Fund c/o Pleasant Valley Infirmary, Route 40 Argyle, NY 12809. Online remembrances can be sent to www.flynnbrosinc.com.
