Lori Burch Obituary

WARRENSBURG Lori J. (Knickerbocker) Burch, 41, of Maggies Road, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at her home surrounded by her loving family and dear friends, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born Nov. 11, 1966, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Beverly Towne of South Glens Falls and the late Theodore Knickerbocker. Lori graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1985. She married the love of her life, William C. Burch on July 5, 1985. Raising and spending time with her family was her passion in life. She also enjoyed playing bingo and shopping. Besides her father, her stepfather, Vito (Tooter) Binetti and her mother-in-law, Margaret McKinney have both predeceased her. Besides her mother, Beverly, Lori also leaves behind her husband of 22 years, William (Curt) Burch of Warrensburg; her three daughters, Amanda Burch and her companion, Justin Phillips, of Glens Falls, Sara and Serena Burch of Warrensburg; two stepdaughters, Sandy Smith and her husband, Raymond, of South Glens Falls, Wendy Burt and her husband, Chris, of Argyle; three stepgranddaughters, Sandra Winney and her husband, Ronald, of Hudson Falls, Dawn Smith of Queensbury, Kayla Burt of Argyle; two stepgrandsons, Kyle Burt of Argyle and John Smith of South Glens Falls; one special step great-grandson, Ronald Winney Jr. of Hudson Falls; one sister, Donna Knickerbocker of Glens Falls; four brothers: Cass (Butch) Hyrny and his wife, Karen, of Queensbury, Bruce Hyrny of Glens Falls, Ralph Knickerbocker of Glens Falls, Todd Knickerbocker and his wife, Teresa, of Warrensburg; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lori will also be missed by her dear friends, Terri, Jeff and Jaylene Grants of Thurman, Auntie D of Thurman; Kris Ross of Albany, Pat Ross of Hudson Falls and her spiritual advisors, Pastor Dave Butler and his wife, Becky, of Thurman. Friends may call on Lori's family from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening, Nov. 27, at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 3809 Main St., Warrensburg. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Butler, Pastor of the Kenyontown Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Warrensburg Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to High Peaks Hospice, 667 Bay Road, Suite 1, Queensbury, NY 12804.
