Helen was a wonderful gardener. She helped me in the perennial gardens for several years and I have missed her the past three years. She also was willing to assist me at Holidays when we had to get the baskets ready in the Fort Ann Food Pantry. She was a tiger no matter the task.

Helen was a very strong woman. I mean that in every sense of the word. Jobs were to be done, hard labor or tending all the animals she loved so dearly. She used to refer to her mother as "the old lady" but I assure you her mother was everything to her. If she was selecting food, it was about what her mother liked. If she was buying a present, it was for her mother. Sarah will miss her daughter more than the heart can bear. My thoughts and prayers are with her.
