My heart and prayers continues to go out to the families of Dennis and Oksana.

Their passing has given me an opportunity to reflect on the meaning of life: Faith, Love and Charity. Dennis and Oksana embodied the spirit of Faith in God, Love for one another and Charity to all, with quiet humbleness and humility.

One day a year Dennis would help me with the Atlantic City-Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs, Fishing Derby, the other 364 days he and Oksana were quietly active in helping everyone else out in in the community. Everywhere I look I can still see Dennis with his bike around town at Church, the Food Bank, PAL etc...

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the families of Dennis and Oksana Mcgurk Jr. I would see Dennis whenever he had to work in the lobby of City Hall in Atlantic City ,He always had a smile and would say goodnite when we were leaving for the day. It was evident by his personality that he loved life and also loved God . I believe that his work was done here on earth , he also has his wife with him and they can always be together. May God give you comfort in your time of grief , remember the good times and the life that they both lived.

Words can not express the pain and sorrow I feel over the lose of a my friend Dennis. I will always remember the fond memories of him just showing up at the kitchen door when patroling the inlet. He looked out for everyone, a true angel.

I have known Dennis for 20 years, and although I didnt see him often he was simply a great person. I never really had the time to tell him that I really was very proud of his drive to graduate college, and become a police officer. His generous nature in giving his time with the PAL, and his efforts to spread holiday cheer just made me even prouder to say he was my friend. When I learned of his marriage to Oksana, I could see the happiness in his eyes. I know this is a devastating loss, but to find some bright spot, he died doing something he loved, with the love of his life. Though his loss is tragic, He is surely in heaven, with Oksana for all eternity. They are both in my prayers, as are their families, and my deepest sympathies are with them as well.

On behalf of The First Tee of Greater Atlantic City, we extend our condolences to the McGurk and Kerusenko families. Office McGurk was one of the few people in this world who truly understood and saw the joy of helping others. His dedication to our junior golf program was just one of the many ways he tried to open the eyes and minds of today’s youth by showing them the different experiences this world has to offer. Always available, he never hesitated to offer his time and expertise. While we mourn his passing, it is up to all of us to follow his lead and continue his spirit of giving.

To the McGurk family, my deepest sympathy for the loss of your son and daughter in law. Dennis installed our sprinkler system and took very good care of it. He was always available. He was a great friend. He always had time for conversation and
gave good advice. He helped me through some pretty difficult times. He was honarable and an excellent person and police officer. Most of all he love his family dearly and loved his wife with all his heart. God bless.

My deepest sympathy for the families of Dennis and Oksana. They were great people and even though we didn't have time to meet very often I still remember every single visit, phonecall. They were our first American friends, showed us a lot of love and respect. They will be terribly missed by all that had the luck to meet them.

We were extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Dennis and Oksana. We had only met them a few times at family functions, but we know what kind, generous and delightful people they were. Our sympathies go out to Tina, Maureen, Mr. and Mrs. McGurk, and Oksana's family.

Dennis appeared one day with mowers, trimmers, and a crew and came to the door of the Atlantic Riding Center for the Handicapped and said he would be by each week to cut our lawn.......a true ARCH angel. He then made sure evey spring that our sprinkler system was turned on and in the fall turned off. Many times his wife was there with him working side by side. It is with deep sorrow that we all grieve their passing. I believe the herd of former ARCH horses were close by to guide their way to heaven. They were very kind and giving people who left their mark on so many thankful people.

Dennis was one of my very best friends for over 20 years. He was an extremely passionate person, fully committed to his wife, his work and his flying. I'll miss the weekly telephone calls, which sometimes went for hours and usually ended with "When are we goin flying again?" As tragic as this is, I find some comfort in knowing that he died doing what he loved the most, with the person he loved the most.

Dennis and Oksana were my mentors growing up, they sparked my love for adventure and taught me to live life to the fullest and never look back, but most importantly they taught me how an act of kindness can change a person's life. I witness Dennis do random acts of kindness that not only changed many person's life, but also an entire community. The world is a better place because of them and everything they did.

May you now soar the heaves together! See you on the other side.

With all my love,

Words can not begin to express the grief we feel right now. Dennis was "all aces"-to use one of his endearing terms...He was a great man. We will miss his kindness, and his giving spirit. We will miss his smile and especially his friendship. We are fortunate to have had his friendship-to call him our friend. We know he is certainly in a better place and we pray for his family and the many friends he and Oksana have. They are together now, forever....May God bless them both.

Having never met Dennis Or Oksana, I am compelled to send my condolences to the entire family. I am however an old friend of Dennis' sisters who share his altruistic nature and Christian values, his life is a testament to his parents upbringing.
May they take solace knowing their son has changed lives and inspired others to live to the fullest.
