Robert Wolff Obituary



WOLFF, ROBERT LT. COMMANDER., 87, - of Brigantine, died on Sunday, June 29, 2008. Robert was born in Camden and was a graduate from Oklahoma A&M. He held patents including revolutionizing surgical instrument sterilizing. He proudly served as a WWII Fighter Pilot, flying the plane he loved - F4U Corsair. He retired as a Lt. Commander from the USNR. He worked at Tomahawk Cruise Missile Development at the U.S. European Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany. He was an avid athlete and played softball into his '70's and loved to bowl and golf. After his retirement he was a volunteer firefighter and building inspector. He did it all. Robert is survived by his sons, Robert P., Mark S. and Stephen M. and his sisters Dorothy Roper and Helen Navarro. He is predeceased by his brothers Joseph, James and David and his sisters Joan Ryan, Agnes D'Andrea and Elizabeth DiVito. Family and friends are invited for a Memorial Service Mass Wednesday, July 9, at 10:00am to celebrate Robert's life at St. Thomas Church, 331 8th St. Brigantine. Burial will be private.
