RODRIGUEZ-COLON, MANUEL 69, - of Vineland, passed away Sunday morning surrounded by his family. Born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico and moved to Landisville in 1958. He married Adalina Colon in 1962 and moved to Vineland. He worked for the NJ Veterans Memorial Home as the head cook for 40 years, retiring in 1998. During that time he also worked for the City of Vineland as a maintenance supervisor. He received recognition by the State of NJ in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage month as an outstanding leader in the workplace and community. He was an avid Phillies fan and known for his great hospitality. Manuel enjoyed gardening and most of all his family. Manuel was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by son and companion, Samuel Colon and Tracey Pellerano, of Orlando, FL, daughter and husband, Nydia and Ismael Negron of Newfield, son and wife, Ruben and Linette Colon of Franklin Park, brothers, Faustino Colon-Rodriguez of Santurce, PR, Pablo Colon-Rodriguez of Orocovis, PR, and Antonio M. Rodriguez of Lancaster, PA, grandchildren Emily Jimenez and Selena Negron of Newfield, Michael and Samuel Colon of Vineland, Ruben & Lia Colon Franklin Park, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife of 41 years Adalina Colon, and four brothers Abraham Colon-Rodriguez, Bereno Colon-Rodriguez, Santos Colon-Rodriguez, Manuel Vasquez Rodriguez. A church visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and again Thursday from 9 to 10 am followed by the funeral service at 10 am at the Spanish Seventh Day Adventist Church, 230 W.
