Irvin N. Hackerman

HON. HACKERMAN, IRVIN N., - of Cherry Hill. He was a Federal Administrative Law Judge for over thirty years. He served as a major in the US Army for six years during WWII and was a member of Post 126, Jewish War Veterans, B'nai Brith, South Jersey Men's Club and the Men's Club of the Jewish Community Center. He earned his law degree at the American University Law School in Washington, DC and also studied music at the Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore. His composition "Wings Over America" is published in the Famous Band Series of Boosey & Hawkes and was the official march for Pan American Aviation Day. Irv won the Arthur Godfrey Talent Award. Many of his compositions were featured on the Army Hour from coast to coast and his songs have been featured on big band night at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. He was the lovingly devoted husband of Dale (nee Artis). He was the lovingly devoted father of Lisa (Daniel) Gottlieb, Lynn (William) Weidner, and Mitchell (Naysta) Hackerman. Proud grandfather of Kimberly, James, Alex, Caroline, Gregory and Adam. Proud great-grandfather of Hannah, Ellie and Dean. Relatives and friends are invited Friday beginning 11:30AM to PLATT MEMORIAL CHAPELS, Inc. 2001 Berlin Rd. Cherry Hill where funeral services will begin promptly at 12:00 noon. Int. Brig. Gen.
