Catherine E. "Katie" Wickward

WICKWARD, CATHERINE E., (NEE DOWLING) "KATIE", 60, - of Mays Landing, passed away at Mainland Hospital around midnight on July 22nd in the company of her loving family. She was born in Philadelphia PA, on July 28, 1947 and was a resident of Mays Landing for most of her life. She also resided in Atco with her now deceased husband Milton A. Wickward. Mom loved gardening and spending time with her family and friends. There wasn't a person mom wouldn't want to get to know better. She loved to cook, so if you loved to eat she would make sure you never left her house hungry. Catherine or "Katie Wick" as she was known to her family and friends is predeceased by her husband Milton A. Wickward (Al), her father John Dowling Sr., her mother Marie Dowling, and her sister Denise Dowling. She is survived by her children Kathleen Risley (David), James Mahlon Kinsey III (Jane), and David James Kinsey (Dustin), by her sisters Marie Champion, Patricia Theriault, Anna Mae Butch; brothers John Dowling Jr., James Dowling, Thomas Dowling. She is also survived by her grandchildren James Mahlon Kinsey IV and Breanna Kathleen Risley, and her many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Included in her closest of friends mom is survived by Barbara Aiken whose special care and support will always be remembered. Friends may call Saturday to Boakes Funeral Home at 6050 Main Street in Mays Landing between 10:30am and 11:30am. Services will be held @ 11:30am. Internment will be at the Atlantic County Park Veterans Cemetery on Route 50 following the services. In lieu of flowers and or donations may be made to NAMI of New Jersey 1562 Rt.130, N.
