Mary Toomey

TOOMEY, MARY (NEE CRANE) - of Atlantic City, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2008. Mary was born in Atlantic City and was a graduate of Atlantic City High School. She was married to the late Jimmy Toomey and together they were involved in many community activities including the March of Dimes, founders of the Around the Island Swim and Toomey Vending Company. Later, Mary shared life with her companion Phil Forlenza in Brielle, NJ. Mary enjoyed the beach, playing Scrabble, traveling, Nevis, dining, Frank Sinatra, crossword puzzles and many other activities. Mary is survived by her sister, Jane Price, her niece, Maryjane McAllister, nephew, Chip Price, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and Chelsea Heights friend, Joey Haney. Friends may call Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, Central Ave & Shore Rd, Linwood, NJ. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary's memory to The Shores of Wesley Manor, 2201 Bay Ave. Ocean City, NJ 08226.
