Mary Toomey Obituary

TOOMEY, MARY (NEE CRANE) - of Atlantic City, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2008. Mary was born in Atlantic City and was a graduate of Atlantic City High School. She was married to the late Jimmy Toomey and together they were involved in many community activities including the March of Dimes, founders of the Around the Island Swim and Toomey Vending Company. Later, Mary shared life with her companion Phil Forlenza in Brielle, NJ. Mary enjoyed the beach, playing Scrabble, traveling, Nevis, dining, Frank Sinatra, crossword puzzles and many other activities. Mary is survived by her sister, Jane Price, her niece, Maryjane McAllister, nephew, Chip Price, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and Chelsea Heights friend, Joey Haney. Friends may call Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, Central Ave & Shore Rd, Linwood, NJ. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Laurel Memorial Park, Pomona. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary's memory to The Shores of Wesley Manor, 2201 Bay Ave. Ocean City, NJ 08226. Arrangements entrusted to and condolences may be left for the family at Adams-Perfect.com.

Had many great memories with Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Mary they were always over the house and Jimmy was absolutely fun. Aunt Mary and my Mom spent a lot of time together also. You and Uncle Jimmy were awesome friends of the family and will always be missed!!!

my name is alan shore is deaf and our family shore knew mary and jim toomey very well and i remember to mary teach me on the beach how to learn drive high ocean to lower to sand my family was ac for full time old time 30 yrs ago so i offten to visited mary and jim house never forget about them and i was stop to mary s house two yrs ago she isgood and iwas stop ur house different family idont understand with u chat with me so i stop to joey s house finally explain to me mary was nurse home i am sorry to hear i hope she is very well and so far wait for her peace to heaven now last night called me message tty i was very sad and miss lot her much never forget about her lot i love her very much and alway s hugs with us she was very friendly to me and our family the said to u for mary ilu pray to her to up heave n to peace i understand with her suffer life she love our my family much remember thank u i miss her much thats all nice meet u again let meknow thank u i cant make it seethere wrong time very busy do okay i wnat go to see funeral will stop to joeys house soon okay
