Joseph Bisconte Obituary
BISCONTE, JOSEPH 79 - of Buena, died Saturday July 26, 2008 at his residence. Joseph was born in Rosenhayn, NJ to the late Natale and Angelina (Sparacio) Bisconte. He had been a lifelong resident of Rosenhayn before moving to Buena 12 years ago. A graduate of the New York Military academy in 1946 and then graduated from Pierce College with a AD in business. Joseph served his country in The US Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953 as a Master Gunnery Sgt. During his time with the Marines he met his wife Elaine (Maroney) Bisconte, who he had been married to for over 50 years until her death in 2004. Joseph was a member of the Township committee and the Board of education in Deerfield Twp; He also served as tax collector. He had been employed by the Cumberland County Meals on Wheels for 4-6 years. A self- employed produce broker and also a Realtor with Patitucci Real Estate Co. A member of St Mary's Church in Rosenhayn, The Sacra Famiglia Society in Rosenhayn and The Italian American Club in Landisville. He enjoyed Golf, Pinochle and trips to the Atlantic City Casinos. Joseph was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his daughter Gina Bisconte of Ohio, Lee Bisconte of Rosenhayn, Daughter and husband Lea & Mark Stransky of New York and daughter and husband Lisa and Richard Guardiola of Mercer County. He is also survived by his sister Jennie " Dolly" Buono of Rosenhayn. Grandchildren Laura Bisconte and Rachael Stransky Joseph was preceded in death by his loving wife Elaine (Maroney) Bisconte and a sister Mary Sparacio. A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at Rone Funeral Service. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary's Church - Rosenhayn Morton Ave., Rosenhayn. Interment will follow in St Mary's Cemetery, Rosenhayn. To the Bisconte Family,
Joe was the only man I ever knew who played an entire round of golf with only a sand wedge and putter. He made some colorful explanations and laughed along the way. We had some great times together. I will always remember him as a good friend.
