Roger M. Hutt

HUTT, ROGER M., 75, - of Dunes Section, of Long Beach Township died on Monday, July 28, 2008 at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin. Mr. Hutt was born in Brooklyn, NY and formerly of Brooklyn, NY and Jamaica Estates, NY before moving to the Dunes in 1988 having been a summer resident for many years. Mr. Hutt was the Owner/Operator of the U.S. Lace Paper Works Inc. of Brooklyn retiring in 1983. He graduated from the Admiral Farragut Academy of Pine Beach, attended the John Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken and he was previously in the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Hutt was a member of the Marlin & Tuna Club of Beach Haven where his father was the 1st Commander of the Club, and a member of the Spray Beach Yacht Club, the American Legion of Barnegat and the N.Y. Athletic Club. He was an avid fisherman, boater and hunter, he hunted first with a bow and arrow and later with a riffle, and he also loved trap shooting. Surviving are his wife of 32 years Anne (nee Emanuele), one brother Bob and his wife Diane and one sister Ruth Bennett. Also surviving are two nieces and one nephew. A Viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am at the Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home 12th St. & Blvd., Ship Bottom. Entombment shall follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society 1035 Hooper Ave., Toms River, NJ 08753 in Mr. Hutt's memory.
