Dear Mary,
You would never have remembered me, but I will always remember my first trip to Italy almost 50 years ago. I walked into Alitalia Airlines in Newark to arrange a trip to Italy and you talked my friend and I into joining you and a group from Vineland who were visiting your families in Lizzano. It was the best trip I ever had. I recall meeting your family, going to their homes, staying at a wonderful pensione ... the people from Vineland were great and so were you. What a laugh we all had when you taught us to sing the words "fly fly fly Alitalia" to the tune of Delilah. All the people who heard us sing laughed along with us.
Gold Bless you Mary and keep you in his loving care.
To your family, I offer my deepest sympathy ... I know you left your love with them and took their love with you. Sadly,
Marie Carlone

Aunt Mary is a strong women.
As Frank Sinatra’s song goes, “I did it my way “
truly describes the life she had.
My only regrets are my wish to have shared more time together so I could enjoy hearing all the Italian stories
about our family roots.
She will be missed at all the future family gatherings.
I will always think of her when I hear the song,
"On the way to Cape May"
There will only be one, "Aunt Mary".

Her share of tragedies she’s had; she’s weathered many storms. So cheerful is her attitude; an icy room she warms. By years she’s now advanced in life, just where she’d like to hold. Her spirit will live on and on; she never will grow old. The words we wish to be expressed when days on earth are gone,
Is how we should conduct our lives the start of each new dawn.
My aunt can surely rest assured, her eulogy will read,
She left a mark, because of her a better world will be.

Saying goodbye is never easy especially when you think you have all the time in the world. My mother Barbara and I love you very much and will always have fond memories to look back on. I will always remember you telling me to be proud of who I am and that I was beautiful no matter what. I always loved to hear you call me "Poots" and it made me feel special. You always had that way about you. I love you very much. You are forever in our hearts.
