POGUST, WILLIAM BENJAMIN, 87 - of Key Largo, Florida, died peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2008 at his home. Born in Pittsgrove Township, to the late Carrie M. Snyder and Benjamin Pogust, he was formerly of Hammonton and Camden. A decorated World War II veteran and proud member of the Big Red One, retired from the Camden City School System. His loved ones left to fondly remember him as "Bicky Bill" are his nieces and nephews: Carol, Laurie and Mary Lou Mitchell, Lynn Decker, Louis Marquet and Robert Banford; his granddaughters, Sarah (Douglas) Fulk and Rachel (Blake) Kroll and great-grandchildren, Sarah Grace and Lauren Elizabeth Kroll and Benjamin Clayton Faulk and daughter-n-law Gail Marquet of Mount Pleasant SC. Bill was a very devoted cousin, friend and neighbor and he enjoyed being the life of the party. He is survived by his son, Michael of New York and sister, Evelyn M. Hart and Ruth A. Banford of Hammonton, Lillian Gardella of Vineland and beloved companion Alice Dance also of Key Largo, Florida. He was predeceased by his son, William B. Marquet, wife Mary and sister Laura Mitchell. The special buddy he adored was Max, the puppy. He was affiliated with the following organizations: The M. B. Taylor Lodge, #141, F.&A. M. of Hammonton, The American Legion, Post 333, Key Largo, Fl, The VFW, Post 10211, Key Largo, the Moose Lodge, Key Largo, The Lodge Council Chapter Consistory, Moose Lodge, and Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Sou, New Jersey. A funeral home visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with the service to follow at 12 noon from Rone Funeral Service, Vineland.
