Gloria Davis Obituary

DAVIS, GLORIA A., 53, - of Bridgeton, died Sunday evening, August 17, 2008 at her home following a brief illness. Born in Fulton, New York she was the daughter of Malchoff J. Davis and Elaine Wanzenried Davis and the spouse of Susan Donnelly. She had been a Bridgeton resident for 12 years moving here from Little Egg Harbor City. Gloria was a veteran of the United States Army and had been employed with Atlanticare-Mainland Division of Atlantic City Medical Center in Pomona for 22 years. She deeply enjoyed caring for others along with needlepoint and cooking and was an avid reader. In addition to Susan and her parents, she is survived by two brothers, James Davis of Texas and Michael Davis of Cleveland, NY; a sister, Debra Everson of Cleveland, NY, three nieces, one nephew and many friends. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway #77, Upper Deerfield Township on Wednesday evening, August 20th at 8 p.m. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Additional services will take place at the Watson Funeral Home in Central Square, NY, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cleveland, NY. We will miss Gloria very much at the Heart Institute at Mainland. Her caring and knowledge and constant on the job nature will be sorely missed.

I for one - will miss our talks about upstate NY, Syracuse, Mexico, Central Square, Oswego and Lake Ontario ...

Gloria will be greatly missed. Her smile was a great pick me up on a down day. I will miss her humor and her friendship.
