Sharon, Tom, Greg and family. Jerry and I want to express our deep sympathy on the loss of your Grandmother. Catherine had a wonderfully full life and so loved living on the bay in Avalon. Her legacy will live on in your lives and the lives of her great grandchildren, some of whom had the great opportunity to live with her over the last several years. May God Bless you and your memories sustain you.

Catherine, Granny was a very special person. In the few years that I knew her, she was always a person of great optimism who loved to talk about when she grew up in NYC.
Granny had a great gift of song and she would tell me how everyone used to get around the piano and sing songs. At 98 she remembered not only the main verses of songs, but could recall all of the verses of any song. There was little that she did not remember. We would go through songs of the early 1900's, 20's, 30's and 40's. Catherine knew almost all of them. Sometimes she would bring up old favorites of hers, if I had not played them yet.
Granny always seemed to have a lot of energy as well and would not tire of singing about 30 -40 songs for an hour or more.
I will truly miss the special visits of song that we shared together. My sincere condolences to the entire family. I know that she will be missed by them all, but what wonderful memories they will have as they reminisce her celebration of life. Enid Rothchild

Sharon and Tom, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. How lucky your grandmother was to have grandchildren like you and to live with in her later years!
