David was my husband Marty's first cousin. He stopped in regularly on his trips up from the shore to keep us in the loop. Now they are both gone. David continued to visit me and let me know what was happening with his family. I will miss his visits. Gloria

Some ten years ago my brother, George, and I began to establish a new life away from our respective homes in Florida and Virginia. In Ocean City, NJ. From the beginning our first cousin and dear friend, Dr. David Black, welcomed us with open arms and extended to us all the family warmth and wonderful times one could hope for. My brother and I have rembrances of David we'll cherish forever. I will miss his presence in my life, his keen insights on life and people, his valued judgements on occurrences in the political and economic world, his evaluations and treatments of a medical nature, his eagerness to fill me in on his family he loved and cared so much for. Now, I feel a certain sadness and emptiness in my heart over his passing. Eventually, I know that I will find comfort in the fond, happy memories I've experienced of this very special person I've been blessed to have as a first cousin and true friend in my life. To the very end. My thoughts and prayers are on Cousin David's lovely, special family in their time of loss and grieving. May you, too, be comforted by the warmth of his love and the many happy memories you've shared of him. Comforting you today and always.

Remberances. Where does one start. Well David was a cousin to my brother Bob and I. We enjoyed his company, especially the past 10 years when we were together in Ocean City, NJ. I will remember the dinners at Dino's Diner( one of his favorites), his sense of humor(dry like mine), the 2001 cruise, the perfectly coiffed gray hair(I would pick his over Jimmy Johnson's), his prescription when one of was ill was "rest" and then he would go from there, his attempt to pick winners of the pro football games( we usually agreed on most), his caring for Bob and I OC home when we weren't there, his fish stories(we gave him a talking fish for his birthday), trips to Atlantic City. Yes David will be sorely missed as he not only was a cousin but a true friend to the end.
