Vincent Palaia Obituary



PALAIA, VINCENT D., 83 - of East Norriton Township, PA, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at Keystone House, Wyndmoor, PA. Born in Port Kennedy, PA on February 24, 1925 he was the son of the late Marian (Ranieri) and Dominic Palaia. Mr. Palaia had resided in East Norriton for the past 20 years, was a veteran of the US Army and a longtime member of the Catholic War Veterans Post 1182 located in Norristown. He spent his career in the Aerospace industry spending many years with the Burroughs/Unysis corporation retiring in 1979 and then Control Data corporation in El Segundo, CA where he retired in 1990 and relocated back to East Norriton, PA. Mr. Palaia is survived by his three loving children: John Palaia, and his fiance Joann Fuentes, of Quakertown, PA; James Palaia, and his wife Joni of Toms River; and Karen L. Casale of Absecon; two grandsons Joseph and Frank Casale of Galloway; siblings: Joseph (Mary) Palaia, and Rose Decio both of Blue Bell, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning, October 3, 2008 from 9 - 10:30 a.m. at the Caramenico FH Inc., Main & Walnut Sts., Ntn., PA. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 AM from Holy Saviour Church. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, E. Norriton, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Keystone House, 8765 Stenton Ave., Wyndmoor, PA 19038.

I worked with Vince at Aerospace Corporation, El Segundo. We were both with Control Data Corporation. Great guy and he brought a world of knowledge with him from Burroughs. Great personality and a great Guy. Learned a lot working with him
