Kari Clay Obituary



CLAY, KARI MARIE, 41 - of Vineland, passed away on Thursday evening. Kari was born in Abilene, TX and was a lifelong Vineland resident. She had many friends among the staff at the Vineland Developmental Center where she made her home for the past 30 yrs. Many volunteers from her family, church and community helped Kari with a rehab program known as a "patterning" when she was young. She is survived by her loving parents: James and Kathleen Luertzing Clay, Sr., her brother: James A. Clay, Jr., her sister in law: Amy Clay, five nieces: Shelby, Sarah, Cassidy, Carly & Caroline Clay, nephew: Cole Clay, paternal Grandmother: Ella Menone, maternal Grandmother: Edna Luertzing, her aunt: Maxine Snyder, her cousins: Dan Steigerwalt, Lisa Steigerwalt and Karen Smith. She was pre deceased by her brother Jeffrey Adam Clay. Kari enjoyed coming home for visits, going to the boardwalk in Ocean City, car rides and ice cream treats at the custard stand. She brought happiness and sunshine into the lives of those around her. Her beautiful smile and good nature will always be remembered. She was an unforgettable person who will be deeply missed. Relatives & friends will be received on Tuesday from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 2384 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ. Her funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in the Siloam Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of your choice.
