MORAN, ALICE ELIZABETH, (KANE) 83 - of Galloway Twp, Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2008 where she was lovingly cared for by her husband, Jim. Alice was born in Jersey City on May 24, 1925 and was raised there until moving to Elizabeth. In 1954 she moved to Clark with her husband, Jim to raise their five children. Alice had the most beautiful and caring heart and was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved her husband and children more than anything. She leaves them and many other loved ones to cherish her memory. She is survived by her husband Jim, of 56 years and her children, Patti (Joe) DeMuth, Peggy (Brad) Dougherty, Jim (Angela) Moran, Joan Giannini and 6 grandchildren, Jackie and Jimmy DeMuth, Chris and Jen Giannini and Jim and Alexis Moran; Alice is survived by her sisters, Sr. Miriam Patrice and Sr. Margaret Kane, Sisters of Charity of Convent Station; as well as devoted in-laws, Marie Dooley, Kay and Ed Groff and Ann Kane; and her dear friends Marilyn and Bob Clausen. Many nieces, nephews and cherished friends will mourn her loss. She is preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Mary Kane; sister, Catherine Byrne; brothers, James, Joseph, Frank and Tommy. Also preceded in death is her daughter, Kathy, whom she cared for lovingly for 44 years. Alice's passion in life was her strong belief in her Faith and the Love of Family. She was an unbelievably awesome wife, mom and friend who would do anything for anyone. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" was her guide in life and those who knew her benefited from that. She was a gift to those who knew her. Her loving, giving ways touched many and she will be dearly missed.
